Young Ghanaian actor and producer, Enock Darko who’s better known as ‘watabombshell’ is doing well in Nollywood. Enock left the shores of Ghana a few years ago to Nigeria in his quest to save his budding acting career.
“ I left to Nigeria to get roles to play in movies and the best part was I got accepted by Nollywood directors,” he said.
For most new movies being produced in Nigeria, Enoch is the face to see. He recently got featured in a movie called ‘Joro’, starring Nollywood star Destiny Etiko and Ghana’s own Toosweet Annan which got a lot of attention during the COVID-19 lockdown time. Enoch has acted alongside other Nollywood legends like Patience Ozokwo, Zack Orji amongst others and as if that’s not enough, he has hinted of a new movie coming out soon titled JEHOVAH WITNESS ft Osita Iheme (PAWPAW), produced by Uchenna Mbunabo.
Addressing the issue of Ghana’s failing movie industry, Enoch’s concern is on how young talents are not being allowed to showcase their talents and how the media is projecting foreign content and pushing Ghana’s to the background.
“I’m urging the Ghanaian government to ban all telenovela content being shown by the media houses to allow for more local content and also producers must work hard to save the Ghanaian movie industry” he added.ENOCK DARKO
Enoch has upcoming projects like ‘The Couple’ and ‘Jehovah’s Witness’ coming soon amidst an epic series featuring a lot of Nollywood stars.
