King Paluta Responds to Viral Video of Church Members Vibing to His Song

Ghanaian hiplife artist King Paluta is experiencing a high point in his music career after winning the 2024 TGMA Best New Artist of the Year. His latest single, “Makoma,” has become widely popular and was recognized as the most streamed song in Africa shortly after its release. A video showing Ghanaians joyfully singing “Makoma” during a church service has gained a lot of attention on social media. In response to the video, King Paluta humorously commented, “Make nobody write apology letter come again o.” This isn’t the first time his song has made headlines – previously, members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were seen dancing to it.

The video, shared on X by EdHub, shows church members dressed in white singing and dancing to the catchy song while a band provides the music. Though the specific church in the video is unknown, this isn’t the first time a song by King Paluta has been performed in a church. Earlier, a Catholic priest sang a verse of King Paluta’s song “Aseda” during a sermon about forgiveness to a new couple. Following this, a letter of apology from the priest, Reverend Father Peter Twumasi, surfaced online, addressed to the National Liturgical Commission, where he expressed regret for his actions.
