Business magnate and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama has gifted British boxing champion Anthony Joshua a brand-new Honda CRF450R motorbike.

A video circulating on social media captures the moment Joshua, a former world heavyweight champion, is seen chatting with Ibrahim Mahama beside the striking red racing bike, which is built specifically for track competitions.

The 2025 model of the CRF450R carries a price tag of $9,699 (approximately GH₵99,400), making it a lavish gift for the boxing icon.

Joshua, who has Nigerian heritage and a well-known passion for motorcycles, touched down in Ghana last week for the highly anticipated Battle of the Beasts boxing event. The show, held on Friday, June 13, 2025, was organised by Sharaf Mahama, son of former President John Dramani Mahama.

From the moment Anthony Joshua arrived at Kotoka International Airport, he immersed himself in Ghana’s vibrant street culture. Spotting a sleek motorbike among the crowd that had gathered to welcome him, he didn’t hesitate—he hopped on, fired up the engine, and joined local bikers for an impromptu ride that thrilled onlookers and sent fans into a frenzy.

Anthony Joshua Spends Quality Time in Ghana with the Mahama Family

The former unified heavyweight champion—who held the IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO titles—has an impressive record of 28 wins in 31 professional bouts, including 25 knockouts. Joshua was one of the headline international stars at the Battle of the Beasts event held on Friday.

Joshua was joined by fellow boxing legend Amir Khan, adding even more star power to what became a true celebrity-packed event. Organised by Sharaf Mahama’s Legacy Rise Sports promotion company, Battle of the Beasts turned out to be one of the most memorable boxing nights Ghana has witnessed in years.

Following the fight, Joshua joined the Mahama family for a special Father’s Day church service, where former President John Dramani Mahama took on the role of master of ceremonies.

Later, Joshua was spotted enjoying a relaxing boat ride with Ibrahim Mahama, further highlighting how much he’s embracing and enjoying his time in Ghana.
