Ghana Police Deny Recruitment Reports, Caution Public Against Fraud

The Ghana Police Service has refuted widespread reports on social media claiming that the Service is conducting a recruitment exercise.

In an official statement issued on Monday, June 23, 2025, the Police described the information as entirely false and urged the public to disregard it.

“The Police Administration wishes to categorically state that this information is false. The Service has not announced any new recruitment exercise,” the statement emphasized. “Any official recruitment will be communicated through the Service’s official website, verified social media platforms, and national newspapers.”

The Police Service warned the public against engaging with individuals or groups who claim to be offering recruitment opportunities in exchange for money. They stressed that such activities are fraudulent and illegal.

Additionally, the Police confirmed that investigations are underway to identify and apprehend those behind the fake recruitment schemes. Offenders will be arrested and prosecuted.

The public is strongly encouraged to report any suspicious recruitment offers or related fraudulent activity to the nearest police station.
