Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Visit Ghana on July 2-3

The Presidency of Ghana has announced that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a two-day official visit to Ghana from Wednesday, July 2, to Thursday, July 3, 2025. This visit aims to deepen the bilateral relations between the two countries and is seen as a symbol of the longstanding friendship between Ghana and India.

Key Engagements

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Spokesperson for the President and Minister for Government Communications, outlined Prime Minister Modi’s key engagements during the visit. He will hold a bilateral meeting with President John Dramani Mahama at the Presidency. The discussions will focus on expanding cooperation in critical areas such as trade, investment, agriculture, technology, education, healthcare, and energy. Additionally, both leaders will exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual concern.

A major highlight of the visit will be the signing of several bilateral agreements designed to reinforce collaboration between the two nations. Following the signing ceremony, both leaders will address a joint press conference.

Diplomatic Honors

In honor of the Indian Prime Minister, President Mahama will host a State Dinner for Mr. Modi and his delegation, underscoring the significance of the visit. According to the statement, the visit is expected to strengthen bilateral ties, foster deeper economic cooperation, and solidify the bonds of friendship between the peoples of Ghana and India.
