“Trigmatic Expresses Regret Over Divorce: ‘I Wish I Were Still Married to My Ex-Wife'”

Ghanaian rapper Trigmatic has recently shared his insights regarding the challenges associated with his divorce from his former wife, Dita Oduro-Agyei. He characterized this experience as both difficult and valuable for his personal development. In an interview conducted on TV3’s Day Show on November 14, 2024, Trigmatic expressed profound regret over the dissolution of their marriage, indicating that the ordeal ultimately strengthened his relationship with God.

He stated, “This experience has served as a significant learning curve for me. I have acquired considerable knowledge, and I do not believe it is an experience anyone should have to endure. While it was challenging, I was fortunate to have a strong connection with God. Often, individuals take their relationship with God for granted until confronted with difficulties.”

Furthermore, Trigmatic emphasized the importance of family and acknowledged his shortcomings during the marriage. He remarked, “I recognized my flaws, and I believe the relationship could have been improved. I wish I were still married to her, as she is an extraordinary person.” Despite their separation, he expressed gratitude for their child, referring to his marriage as “one of the greatest gifts I have given my children.”

When inquired about the possibility of reconciliation, he indicated that it had not been a consideration but reiterated the inherent beauty of marriage. “Marriage is indeed beautiful, yet it encompasses numerous complexities,” he noted.

Trigmatic wed Dita Oduro-Agyei, his longtime partner, in a private ceremony in 2017. Earlier in the year, he disclosed that they had been separated for three years, a decision they had chosen to keep private until now. In an interview on D-Black’s Unkut show, he stated, “I am divorced. Many individuals are unaware of this. It is not a topic I discuss frequently… Yes, it has been three years now.”

He clarified that the decision to divorce was mutually agreed upon and addressed any speculations linking his profession to their separation. He emphasized that the COVID-19 pandemic had compelled them to spend more time together, which ultimately illuminated their irreconcilable differences. “The pandemic led us to be at home together, and while this time was relatively peaceful, it also revealed underlying issues,” he explained.
