“Teams Start Arriving in Accra for African Games 2023”
Athletes and officials from various African countries have started arriving in Ghana to take part in the 13th African Games. The event is scheduled to commence in Accra this weekend. On Wednesday, the first group of athletes and officials from Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco arrived in Ghana, primarily consisting of badminton players. The badminton tournament will start on March 3, five days before the main opening ceremony on March 8.
In addition to the North African teams, it has been confirmed that several other teams, most of them with their badminton players, arrived in the country late on Wednesday. All of the teams have been accommodated in hotels as the Games’ Village is yet to be opened to the athletes.
