Jacob Osei Yeboah deemed the cancellation of ‘The Convention’ as disgraceful and a component of broader plots aiming to dismantle Cheddar.

The cancellation of ‘The Convention,’ as expressed by Jacob Osei Yeboah, was deemed not just shameful but also as a part of a larger agenda aiming to undermine Cheddar. The event was scheduled to take place at the Black Star Square on January 7th, 2024.

The choice of Black Star Square as the venue holds significance as it’s a symbolically important location often used for gatherings and events of national importance in Ghana. The cancellation of such an event at this notable venue suggests not just an interruption of Cheddar’s plans but also potentially denies him a platform for expressing his views or gathering supporters.

However, the politicians who were invited to the ceremony called the occurrence as a blot on the state. According to the Diaspora Affairs Directorate at the office of the President stated that; the program was cancel due to a state event been held at the same venue.

Speakers to the event included Professors P.L.O Lumumba, Julius Malema, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao and Peter Obi.

The implications of this cancellation extend beyond the event itself, possibly signaling tensions between Cheddar and the authorities or highlighting a broader narrative of suppression of dissenting voices. The incident might provoke discussions about freedom of expression, the right to assemble, and the extent of government intervention in public discourse.
