In a bold and unexpected move, Shatta Wale has wielded the axe on the Blackstars after their disheartening 2-1 loss to Cape Verde in the opening match of Afcon 2023 on Sunday 14th January 2024.
The Ghanaian music icon, known for his passionate support of the national team, expressed profound disappointment in the team’s performance, deeming it unacceptable.

Shatta Wale, often an emblem of national pride, took to social media to announce the decision, stating that such a defeat in a crucial tournament demanded accountability.

Reacting to the unexpected defeat, controversial Shatta Wale has slammed the Blackstars for their lackadaisical performance.
Firing the team in a self-made video, infuriated Shatta Wale told the GFA to rename the team to ‘Black Soil’ because it’s evdient the team is no longer useful because Ghana has now won only one of the last 10 AFCON games.
As insisted by Shatt, the team would be kicked out of the ongoing AFCON tournament and wouldn’t provide significant results, unlike their prior performances in the tournament.

This abrupt managerial shake-up raises questions about the team’s future direction, as fans and pundits ponder the potential impact on player morale and the upcoming matches in the tournament.
